ARGO

Argo is a 2012 American thriller film directed by Ben Affleck. The movie is based loosely on former Central Intelligence Agency operative Tony Mendez's historical account of the rescue of six U.S. diplomats from Tehran, Iran during the 1979 Iran hostage crisis. The film stars Affleck as Tony Mendez with Bryan Cranston, Alan Arkin, and John Goodman, and was released in North America to critical and commercial success on October 12, 2012. The film was co-produced by George Clooney and Grant Heslov, who previously collaborated on the critically acclaimed Good Night, and Good Luck. The story of the rescue was also told in the 1981 television movie “Escape from Iran: The Canadian Caper”, directed by Lamont Johnson.

THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS

The Man with the Iron Fists is an upcoming martial arts film directed by RZA and written by RZA and Eli Roth. The film stars Russell Crowe, Cung Le, Lucy Liu, Byron Mann, RZA, Rick Yune, David Bautista, and Jamie Chung. Set in 19th century China, the story follows The Blacksmith (RZA) who is forced to come to the defense of his fellow villagers. The film is scheduled for release on November 2, 2012.

Filming began in December 2010 on an $20 million budget and concluded by March 2011. The film was shot entirely in China including the city of Shanghai. The film's score is composed by RZA and Howard Drossin, and its soundtrack is developed by RZA, featuring several new songs by various artists. A series of concerts were held to promote the film, featuring music from the soundtrack.

THE GUILT TRIP

The Guilt Trip is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Anne Fletcher from a screenplay written by Dan Fogelman, starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen. It was originally called My Mother's Curse, but soon changed its title.

SKYFALL

Skyfall is the upcoming twenty-third spy film in the Eon Productions James Bond series, produced for MGM, Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment. It features Daniel Craig's third performance as James Bond, and Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva, the film's villain. The film was directed by Sam Mendes and written by John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

Mendes was approached to direct the film following the release of Quantum of Solace in 2008. However, production was suspended when MGM encountered financial troubles, and would not resume until December 2010. During this time, Mendes remained attached to the project as a "consultant", though original screenwriter Peter Morgan left the project during the suspension. Once production resumed, Logan, Purvis and Wade continued writing what would be the final version of the script, incorporating Morgan's ideas in it. Filming began in November 2011, and primarily took place in the United Kingdom, China and Turkey.

Skyfall is due to premiere on 23 October 2012, be released in the United Kingdom on 26 October 2012, and it will be the first James Bond film to be released in IMAX venues. The film's release will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the series, which began with Dr. No in 1962.

SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS

Seven Psychopaths is a 2012 upcoming comedy film written, co-produced and directed by Martin McDonagh. It stars Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Tom Waits and Christopher Walken. The film marks the second collaboration between McDonagh and Farrell, following 2008's In Bruges.

Seven Psychopaths had its world premiere at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, and is set to be released in the United States and Canada on October 12, 2012, and in the United Kingdom on December 7, 2012.
